Terms of Service

The terms under which Apex Renewables Group provides solar, battery storage and EV charging services.

1. Agreement to terms

By using our services or this website, you agree to these terms. Please read them. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

2. Our services

Apex Renewables Group provides solar PV, battery storage and EV charger installation in Leicester and the surrounding Midlands. The scope of any specific job is set out in the written quote we give you before work starts.

Until you accept a written quote, nothing said on this site, by phone or by email forms a binding contract. Photographs, examples and case studies on this site are illustrative; pricing varies by job.

3. Quotes and pricing

  • Quotes are valid for 30 days from the date issued unless we say otherwise in writing.
  • Quotes are based on the information you give us and what we can see during inspection. If conditions on site turn out to be different (for example, hidden damage or access issues), we will tell you in writing and agree any extra cost before continuing.
  • All prices are in GBP. VAT is shown separately on the quote where applicable.
  • Any estimate of how your system will perform or what it could save is specific to your property, given to you in writing before you sign, and is an estimate rather than a guarantee. Actual output and savings depend on your energy use, your tariff, the weather and how much electricity you export.

4. Payment and finance

  • Payment terms for each job are set out in the written quote.
  • For larger jobs a deposit may be required before we book in materials or scaffolding. Any deposit will be no more than 25% of the contract value and is protected through our Insurance-Backed Guarantee provider, the IWA.
  • Invoices are due within the period stated on the invoice. Late payments may incur interest under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998 where it applies.
  • We accept the payment methods listed on the invoice.

Apex Renewables Group Ltd is an Introducer Appointed Representative (Financial Services Register No. 1055894) of Phoenix Financial Consultants Limited (Phoenix). If you want to pay by finance, we can introduce you to Phoenix, a credit broker (not a lender) authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FRN: 539195), who arrange finance from their panel of lenders. We do not lend or give financial advice ourselves. All finance is subject to status and credit checks, and any finance agreement is between you and the lender.

5. Scheduling and access

We will agree a start date with you in writing. We do our best to keep to it, but weather, material delays, and previous jobs running over can push start dates back. We will keep you updated.

You agree to give us safe access to the site, water and a power supply where reasonably needed. If we cannot start or finish because access is refused or unsafe, we may charge for the time we have lost.

6. Cancellations and changes

  • Consumer contracts (where you are a private individual, not a business) may give you a 14-day right to cancel under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. If you ask us to start work inside the 14-day period, you may have to pay for what has been done up to the point you cancel.
  • To cancel within this period, tell us in writing at our registered office: Unit 29, Loughborough Technology Centre, Epinal Way, Loughborough LE11 3GE. We provide a cancellation form with your contract, though you can cancel by any clear written statement.
  • If you take finance to pay for your installation, the finance agreement has its own separate 14-day right to cancel, which runs from when you receive the finance documentation from the lender.
  • If you change the scope after the job has started, we will give you a written variation with any extra cost or time before we continue.
  • If we cannot do the job through no fault of yours, we will refund any money you have paid for work not done.

7. Workmanship and warranty

We carry out our work with reasonable care and skill, as required by the Consumer Rights Act 2015 (where it applies) and the Supply of Goods and Services Act 1982.

Any specific workmanship guarantee for a job will be set out in the quote. Manufacturer's warranties on materials and parts are passed through to you on the terms the manufacturer sets.

8. Insurance

We hold public liability insurance appropriate to the solar, battery storage and EV charging work we carry out. Your installation also carries our 6-year workmanship warranty, backed by an Insurance-Backed Guarantee through the IWA. Details available on request.

9. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability that the law does not allow us to limit or exclude (for example, liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud).

Subject to that, our total liability to you for any one job is limited to the price you paid for that job. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as loss of profit, loss of use, or claims by third parties, except where the law requires.

10. Complaints

If something is not right, please tell us as soon as you can. Call us on 0330 133 2323 or send a message through the form on our website, and we will respond and aim to put it right.

As a member of the Renewable Energy Consumer Code (RECC), we follow its complaints procedure. If we cannot resolve your complaint between us, you can take it to the independent dispute resolution service for RECC members (the Green Homes Dispute Resolution scheme). The full procedure and how to escalate are at recc.org.uk.

11. Use of this website

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be dealt with in the courts of England and Wales.
