Where the charger goes in Quorn
Quorn is a Charnwood village with two clear halves: modern estates and larger detached homes where the drive comes with the house, and the older core around the High Street and St Bartholomew's. What changes from street to street is how far the cable runs from your fuse board to where you park. Homes here fall into three rough types.
The modern estates
On the modern-estate homes everything's recent, the parking, the board and the wiring, and the car sits close to where the power comes in. So the cable barely travels and there's next to nothing to prep first.
The larger detached homes
Quorn has plenty of big detached houses set back behind a longer drive. The charger goes on fine, but the extra distance from the board to the car is worth measuring, and many of these homes already have solar to pair it with.
The old village core
The homes around the High Street and St Bartholomew's sit close to the road and park on the street. We start by seeing whether the car can sit on the property clear of the road at all. Some also have older wiring to bring up to standard before the charger goes on.

What to check before you book
Two things are worth sorting up front in Quorn: whether the grant applies to you, and whether the charger should be set up to work with solar.
